What does FYF stand for?

What is the FYF session?

The goal of FYF is to showcase your mental and physical capability, why we are who we are. This is your chance to explore the grit and determination forged in the previous weeks/blocks of training.

Preparing an athlete to succeed in their sporting arena boils down to this – you must appropriately apply your training tools to trans-fer weight room progress to the arena or you’re just wasting time. Though simple on paper, somehow this approach gets lost when a coach works with a novice athlete. But this won’t happen at 98 Gym.

What this weeks FYF looked like

Teams of 3
5 rounds
50 x Safety Bar Squat (100kg/60kg)
50 x Bench Press (80kg/40kg)
100m Dead Ball Carry (65kg/35kg)
*Every 5 mins complete 50 cal team Airbike
*45 min cap

No teams beat the cap. Furthest had 4 bench and 100m carry to go to complete 5 rounds. This was the most challenging FYF so far this year.
